Literacy starts at home!

As a parent and an educator, I know the importance of being my child's first teacher. Students must enter schools with some fundamentals such as, knowing how to spell their names, know how to count to at least 10 but most importantly know some form of the alphabet. Parents must initiate a love for reading at home. As a parent and an educator, I have firsthand experience with the fact that it makes a huge difference.
